A few learningopportunities include:Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Assisting in identifying potential hazards and supporting the implementation of safety measures to mitigate risks in the workplace.Compliance Monitoring: Monitoring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, and providing solutions to ensure continuous adherence to standards.Incident Response: Responding to and assisting in the investigation of safety incidents, including root cause analysis and the development of corrective actions.Safety Audits and Inspections: Conducting safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and support the maintenance of a safe work environment.Training and Awareness: Supporting the development and delivery of safety training programs and helping raise awareness of EHS policies among employees.Sustainability Initiatives: Assisting in researching and implementing initiatives aimed at reducing the company's environmental footprint and promoting sustainability.What you need to be successful:Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a fieldrelated to the internship Minimum GPA requirement of a 3.0Skills:Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Analytical and problem-solving abilities.Basic project management or organizational skills.Personal Attributes:Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of ateam.Willingness to learn and take initiative.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.Positive attitude and adaptability to new challenges.Availability:Willingness to commit to the internship duration, typically 10-12 weeksfor a summer internshipAbility to work in the location where the internship is offeredEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO)The Shyft Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
