Job Description :

Will directly support the development, deployment, and execution of corporate and site environmental programs and systems. You will travel to offer onsite guidance to our HSE staff as well as business and operational leaders on environmental regulations, requirements, and best practices. Based out of Morgantown, KY plant.

  • Prepare, submit and/or review environmental reports as necessary for the business and/or operating locations to regulatory agencies.
  • Analyze environmental data, performing trend analysis, and identifying preventative and corrective actions to maintain compliance.
  • Educate site personnel on environmental requirements and develop, update, and deliver training on environmental programs.
  • Conduct and/or participate in periodic compliance reviews and auditing of Company's operations including NESHAP/RRR audits, HSE Standard audits and ISO 14001 audits as necessary.
  • With input from key stakeholders, support the negotiation of environmental permit terms, stipulations, and operational conditions to meet objectives for safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
  • Conduct and/or participate in periodic compliance reviews and auditing of company's operations including NESHAP/RRR audits, HSE Standard audits and ISO 14001 audits as necessary.
  • Represent corporate HSE in meetings and communications with regulators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or other STEM-related field and 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing or consulting environment.
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal. Ability to accurately write reports, communicate verbally with management and hourly employees, provide constructive feedback and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Must have substantive knowledge of environmental regulations, consensus standards and best practice with demonstrated success in effective implementation of compliance and control plans.
  • Proven ability to manage project costs and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to attain and continually improve environmental performance while attaining good business results.
  • Professional certification(s) in environmental management and/or sustainability desirable.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs., climb ladders and walk the plant floor when at manufacturing plants on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to wear mandatory PPE in plant environments (hard hat, safety eyewear, hearing protection, molten metal boots and molten metal protective clothing as needed.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and/or unheated buildings for extended periods to supervise emission testing activities at manufacturing plants.
