Location: Indianapolis, IN

Pay: $50,000 - $55,000

The People:

As a QC Microbiology Technician, you will collaborate with microbiologists, lab managers, and cross-functional teams to support laboratory operations and maintain the highest standards of quality control. You'll be a key member of a supportive, team-oriented environment where knowledge sharing and collaboration are encouraged, providing opportunities for both personal and professional growth.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Collect and analyze samples from raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability studies to ensure microbiological compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Oversee daily laboratory operations, including managing inventory, ordering consumables, calibrating equipment, and ensuring the efficient execution of lab protocols.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues, helping improve microbiology lab processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance on lab equipment, support troubleshooting efforts, and participate in investigations into deviations or out-of-specification results.
  • Assist in the setup and operationalization of a new microbiological testing laboratory, collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams.

The Skills You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with a focus on accurate documentation and communication of findings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, adhering to rigorous quality and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with laboratory data management systems (e.g., LIMS) and data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
  • Hands-on experience with microbiological testing for endotoxins, sterility, and bioburden.
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring and industry standards.
  • Understanding of aseptic manufacturing processes.
