ENVIRONMENTAL/SAMPLING TECHNICIAN - Amentum : Job Details

**Position Overview:**

As an Environmental Technician, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and maintaining environmental compliance and quality. You will conduct fieldwork, collect and analyze samples, and ensure adherence to environmental regulations and standards. Your efforts will contribute to our mission of promoting environmental health and safety.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Perform field inspections and environmental assessments to identify potential hazards and compliance issues.

Collect and analyze environmental samples, including air, water, and soil, using specialized equipment and techniques.

Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of environmental monitoring equipment.

Prepare detailed reports on findings and provide recommendations for remediation or improvements.

Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management plans and procedures.

Stay updated on environmental regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices.

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and resolve environmental issues.

**Qualifications:**

Proven experience in environmental monitoring, fieldwork, or a related technical role is preferred.

Associates degree or higher in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.

Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards (e.g., EPA, OSHA) is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to operate and maintain environmental testing equipment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid drivers license and ability to travel to field sites as needed.
