Environmental Service Technician (Housekeeper/Custodian)

UnityPoint Health- Fort Dodge

**$1,500 Sign-on Bonus if Applicable**

Shifts: 1st and 2nd shifts available, every other weekend and holiday rotations

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas in the time allotted.
  • Cleaning duties include sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, fans, dry & wet mopping, wiping horizontal and vertical surfaces, high dusting, edging, vacuuming, trash pickup in both clinical and non-clinical rooms, hallways, and stairwells.
  • Able to operate cleaning equipment, such as, but not limited to, vacuum sweeper, auto scrubber, battery operated vacuum, carpet extractor, etc.
  • Adherence to all hospital and department safety training, policies, and procedures.
  • Relate to others in a caring, tactful, and courteous manner.
  • Strict compliance with maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, but not required.
  • Previous healthcare housekeeping or janitorial experience desirable, but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
