Environmental Services Worker (10:30am-6:30pm Shift) - The Staff Pad : Job Details

The Staff Pad has partnered with Blue Ridge Medical Center in Blue Ridge, Georgia. We are looking for an Environmental Services Worker to join their team. -The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the hospital. This role plays a crucial part in infection control and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. -Key Responsibilities:- Perform cleaning and disinfecting tasks in patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and other hospital facilities.- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely and effectively.- Follow established protocols for infection prevention and control.- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety.- Dispose of waste and hazardous materials according to regulations.- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of shortages.- Assist in the setup and breakdown of areas for special events or hospital functions.- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.- Participate in ongoing training and adhere to all safety guidelines. -Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.- Previous experience in a healthcare or cleaning environment is a plus.- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and infection control practices.- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery.- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, and bending. -PandoLogic.
