How you make a difference:

The Environmental Services Work role is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for clients and employees by performing general cleaning and laundry duties. This position requires adherence to safety procedures when handling or cleaning potentially hazardous materials and exposure to dangerous equipment. Physical capabilities are necessary for performing the job duties and flexibility in schedule is required to work in various environments. Additionally, compliance with department guidelines and protocols is essential for performing day-to-day operations within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and prevent infection by washing, cleaning, and replacing equipment and furnishings.
  • Clean common areas, patios, restrooms, client rooms, and offices to high standards.
  • Ensure that Environmental Services equipment and supply rooms are organized and kept in good condition.
  • Follow procedures for cleaning up spills and hazardous items, and remove hazardous articles to designated receptacles.
  • Perform tasks such as cleaning clients' rooms, disinfecting furniture, collecting waste, and ensuring the integrity of supplies and equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Graduation from High School or GED(preferred).

Experience

  • Three(3)months to one (1) year of general experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform satisfactorily the duties of the position maybe considered;

Licenses/Certifications

  • Possession of a valid drivers license as the position may require driving company vehicles. (Required)
  • Two(2)years of increasingly responsible facility Environmental Services experience to include lead or supervisory responsibilities.(Preferred)
  • Bilingual (Preferred)
