We work throughout NYS, NJ, MD, DE, and PA. The Active Solar Development team is a smart, fun, dedicated, kind and talented group with diverse interests and experiences. We have an in-person, but flexible, work environment to support rapid and fluid communication. Successful candidates will be leader, manager, mentor, creator, and team-builder. About the Role: The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution and delivery of EPC projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, coordinating between various stakeholders, and managing all aspects of project execution, from engineering design to procurement, construction, and commissioning. Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Execution •Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. •Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation through to project closure, ensuring alignment with project objectives. •Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Team Leadership •Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, procurement specialists, and construction managers. •Ensure clear communication and coordination between all project stakeholders. •Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance management for team members. Stakeholder Management •Serve as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. •Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. •Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders on project progress. Budget and Cost Management •Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within the approved financial framework. •Monitor and control project costs, including procurement and subcontracting expenses. •Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to senior management. Quality and Compliance •Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements. •Implement quality assurance processes and conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to specifications. •Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and compliance records. Risk Management •Identify and assess project risks, including technical, financial, and operational risks. •Develop risk mitigation plans and monitor their implementation throughout the project lifecycle. •Respond to unforeseen challenges and make decisions to keep the project on track. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) •Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all project sites. •Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and company policies. •Implement safety training programs and conduct regular safety audits. Requirements Desired Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree and/or PMP certification is a plus. •Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in an EPC environment •Solar or renewable energy experience highly desired •Strong understanding of engineering principles, procurement processes and construction methodologies •Proficient in negotiation and management of contracts •ERP experience for managing project performance (example: Sage) •Procore experience •Excellent proficiency MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, MS Project) •Ability to work onsite in Malta, NY Monday-Friday •Unrestricted work authorization for the US and high written and verbal English proficiency •Ability to travel 10% to project locations Desired Characteristics: •Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment •Motivated initiative-taker, goal oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities •Proven ability to empathize, build relationships and effectively communicate •Ability to navigate complexity, develop clear action plans and drive growth •Excellent leader, coach, and mentor •Highly collaborative Compensation: The likely compensation range for this position is $90,000-$130,000 plus a discretionary bonus based on individual and business performance. Your actual salary may be above, in, or below this range, depending on your qualifications and experience.
