• Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Have documented experience in horse care, equestrian instruction, group leadership, and camp programming
• Ability to work closely with and supervise a small group of staff
• Ability to learn, teach and implement Equestrian Program curriculum
• Ability to accept guidance and supervision
• Ensure safety of all participants, staff and horses
• Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, self-control, maturity, responsibility, sound judgment, and good decision-making skills
• Be of good character, and in sympathy with the goals and objectives of YMCA Camp Piomingo
• Assist in leading staff training for the Equestrian Staff
• Pass a background check
