Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic aviation organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, with a focus on process improvement, capital equipment selection, and production optimization.   • Perform problem-solving, continuous improvement, and enhance production capabilities for equipment, processes, and production design in all areas of manufacturing.
  • Research and interface with vendors to evaluate and purchase capital equipment.
  • Act as a liaison between design and manufacturing-related departments.
  • Research, justify, select, and purchase capital equipment and/or processes.
  • Learn to operate and troubleshoot capital equipment.
  • Identify and resolve material and manufacturing equipment/process issues.
  • Optimize work sequencing and workflows through machines and work centers.
  • Make make-versus-buy decisions to improve production methods, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Coordinate outsourcing of parts and conceptualize tooling and fabrication designs.
  • Develop and implement Manufacturing Engineering policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest manufacturing engineering technologies.
  • Provide budgeting information and project status updates to management.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (preferred).
  • Proficiency in CAD, Unigraphics II, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
  • Certifications in production center equipment, project management, or lean methodologies are a plus.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong background in production machining, material forming, assembly, and process flow.
  • Experience with process instrumentation, controls, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and overhead lifting/cranes.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and standard safety practices.
  • Experience operating equipment in a production center and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
