An Equipment Maintenance Technician position is available courtesy of Akkodis.

  • Type/Duration: Contract-to-Hire, W2 (Hire after 6-7 months with solid performance)
  • Rate Range: $30 - $35/hour
  • Location: Everett, WA

Description:

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, conducting repairs, and maintaining various pieces of equipment used in the production of our products. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn will contribute to your success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your mechanical skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
  • Replace or repair faulty parts, perform tests, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, circuits, and blueprints to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Conduct soldering and circuit board repairs as needed to maintain equipment functionality.
  • Perform calibrations and routine service tasks such as changing belts and pump oil.
  • Operate and maintain a suite of tools, including screen printers, ovens, electronics assembly, and test equipment.
  • Handle chemicals and materials safely, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Participate in suggesting and implementing continuous improvement ideas to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Work within an ISO9001 Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, electronics, or related fields.
  • Ability to read schematics (weighted higher than small scale circuitry).
  • General computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and other applications.
  • Competency in using power tools, electrical equipment, and test equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ideally experience with preventive maintenance and capable troubleshooting skills.
  • ISO experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Machining experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Thin film or thick film production experience would be a huge bonus

  • Plastics group is dirtier, more maintenance heavy, greasy, grimey.
  • Capability to lift and/or carry at least 40lbs as required for equipment maintenance activities.
