This individual has a good understanding of construction composites and their properties to build roads, control erosion, grade lots, and build foundations. The Equipment Operator 3 takes directions from the CIP Construction Superintendent, Construction Foremen, Project Engineers, and carries out tasks with little supervision.Requirements and Job Specifications Education Required: H.S. Functions and Duties Essential Functions and Duties:
- Operates various types of light to heavy equipment (see equipment).
- Cleans and prepares equipment for operations, i.e., wash, sweep, fuel up, check/add oils and lube.
- Digs ditches and fills ditches. maintain grades for pipe drainage.
- Performs construction at on tennis courts, ball fields and other recreation sites, clearing underbrush and hauling debris.
- Ability to grade, dig and load debris for transport.
- Loads, unloads and hauls various minerals, i.e., dirt, sand, limestone, etc.
