Job Location : all cities,MI, USA
The purpose of this position is to operate gasoline and diesel-powered engineering and construction equipment including, but not limited to motor graders, excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, wheel loader, tractors, earth scrapers, cranes, fork trucks, scissor and boom lifts, and large dump trucks. Employee will operate specialized equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of Fort Custer Training Centers infrastructure and training areas. This includes, but not limited to mowing of right-of-ways, road repair and building, maintaining ditches, develop and maintain ordnance ranges, and perform preventive maintenance on the equipment utilized on assigned tasks. The employee performs a full range of equipment operator assignments; but will seek guidance when making decisions where alternatives are determined by established procedures, methods, and practices. The job duties require the employee to have a Class A Commercial Driver License and this position is subject to random drug testing.

Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
Three years of experience operating motorized equipment used in construction, maintenance, heavy transport, agriculture, or forestry including two years equivalent to an Equipment Operator 8.
Completion of vocational training that provided practical experience in operating equipment used by these classifications may be substituted for six months of experience.
Some positions in this class series are assigned job duties that may require possession of the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the Secretary of State as required by Public Act 346 of 1988 to operate a designated state vehicle.
