Equipment Operator I (Veterans Cemetery) - City of Killeen, Texas : Job Details

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating all equipment at the Veteran Cemetery for the interments and the maintenance of the cemetery. SUPERVISION EXERCISED Employees have no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties Possesses and maintains a valid drivers license. Able to drive and take care of all cemetery equipment. Install and realign headstones. Assist at the cemetery shelter to unload and reload caskets and urns. Transport caskets and urns to the final resting place and follows the Veterans Administration and Texas Veterans Land Board regulations for burials in the cemetery. Ensures new gravesites are leveled appropriately and in compliance with the National Cemetery Association. Assist in all areas of the burial process and maintenance of the Veterans Cemetery.
