Equipment Operator - TRANSFORCE : Job Details

Overview Hiring Range: $18.23-$20.11 Starting salary may be adjusted depending on experience. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of experience operating heavy equipment or manual shift dump truck
• Possession of a valid State of Alabama Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with the ability to drive an 8-speed manual shift transmission
• Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain/maintain a City of Hoover Driver's Permit

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Supervisory experience
• Fifth Wheel Endorsement

Responsibilities

• Operates dump and light pickup trucks in picking up and delivering material and supplies from place to place
• Operates tractor mowers as needed, backhoes, or other motorized public works equipment
• Operates trucks on street, sewer, construction work and in hauling various materials
• Drives trucks in transporting personnel, tools, fuel and equipment to and from jobs
• Assists work crews in performing such duties as sign replacement, drainage work, street paving and concrete work
• Performs and schedules preventive maintenance and repair to equipment such as cleaning and checking water, grease, oil and tires
• Supervision is sometimes exercised over subordinates
• Performs related work as required
