Leer South is looking for a Section Utility/Equipment Operator to join our successful team in Philippi, West Virginia.

Job Title: Section Utility/Equipment Operator

Job Location: Sentinel/Leer South Mining Complex (Philippi, WV)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

* This person is a multi-skilled equipment operator who has the abilities to, and is fully skilled and qualified to operate (at various times on an as needed basis) either a continuous miner, roof bolter, shuttle car, ram car, mobile bridge carrier or scoop in a safe, productive and efficient manner.

* Be able to perform non-equipment operator tasks and duties such as shoveling, building/maintaining ventilation controls, assisting in various maintenance and repair duties on mine equipment and other manual related tasks and duties as needed.

* Conduct all work activities in compliance with Federal and State coal mining laws and Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* WV underground certification required

* Must have a minimum of 2 years of underground experience

* Demonstrated ability to follow safe work procedures and inspection procedures

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Record of good work attendance and punctuality
