Pierro, Connor & Strauss is looking for a highly skilled Estate Planning Paralegal with a strong focus on drafting estate planning documents and client interaction. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in preparing documents such as Wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, etc., while managing client communication and gathering essential information for the creation of personalized estate plans. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to work directly with clients to understand their needs and prepare documents accordingly.
Compensation:$55,000 - $75,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Prepare and draft estate planning documents, including but not limited to Wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, and healthcare directives, under the guidance of an attorney
- Customize documents based on individual client situations, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all drafts
- Assist attorneys in conducting initial client intake interviews to gather relevant personal, financial, and family information required for document drafting
- Coordinate communication with clients, answering inquiries and ensuring all necessary documents and information are collected in a timely manner
- Maintain client confidentiality while managing sensitive financial and personal data
- Ensure all executed documents are properly signed, notarized, and filed in accordance with state law
Qualifications:- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in estate planning or related legal fields
- Certification as a paralegal from an accredited program (preferred)
- At least 3 years of experience drafting estate planning documents or in a similar paralegal role with a focus on wills, trusts, and related legal documents
- Proficiency in using legal software such as Clio, NetDocuments, Wealth Docx® preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate directly with clients and colleagues
