Maxonic maintains a close and long-term relationship with our direct client. In support of their needs, we are looking for an Estimator.

Job Description:

Job Title: Estimator

Job Type: Direct Hire

Location: Troy, Michigan

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm with some travel

Summary:

Responsibilities:

Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and other expenses.

Project Analysis: Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to accurately determine the scope of work.

Vendor Coordination: Obtain and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors.

Cost Management: Monitor and track project costs to ensure they remain within budget.

Proposal Development: Develop comprehensive project proposals and present them to management and clients.

Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.

Documentation: Maintain thorough records of all estimates, proposals, and related documents.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and best practices to enhance estimation processes.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in the automotive or aerospace industry.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimation software and tools. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
