Senior Estimator – Commercial Construction (Miami/Fort Lauderdale)

Location: Miami/Fort Lauderdale, FL

Salary: Up to $200,000 + Benefits

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to join a premier construction firm specializing in commercial projects across Miami and Fort Lauderdale. This role is critical in delivering accurate and competitive estimates for high-value projects ranging from $20M to $100M. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
  • Analyze project documents, specifications, and blueprints to determine scope and requirements.
  • Conduct material take-offs and pricing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of project needs.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, and engineers to align budgets and scopes.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals, ensuring accuracy and value alignment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Prepare and present estimates, budgets, and bid proposals to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Keep updated on market trends, material costs, and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on commercial projects.
  • Proven ability to manage high-value estimates for projects in the $20M-$100M range.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
