Job Opportunity: Home Instead is excited to invite passionate individuals to join our team as Evening and Weekend Caregivers. These part-time roles are perfect for college students or anyone looking to work after school hours in the Saint Joseph, MO area. We are committed to providing consistent, high-quality care for the aging adults we serve.

If You Meet These Qualifications, We Want to Hear From You!

• Some previous caregiving experience is preferred, either in a professional capacity or as a family caregiver.
• You are available to work evening and/or weekend shifts up to 8 hours, with example times like 12pm-5pm, 5pm-10pm, or overnight shifts.
• You possess a valid U.S. Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and have access to a Reliable Personal Vehicle to transport clients.
• You can successfully pass a Criminal and Motor Vehicle Background Check.
• You are physically able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull for up to 8 hours.
• You can lift, push, or pull at least 25lbs.
• You demonstrate compassion, patience, and empathy in your interactions.
• You have strong problem-solving abilities.
• You are a team player with a collaborative spirit.
• Your communication skills, both verbal and written, are strong.
• We are looking for Non-Smoking Applicants.

Caregiver Responsibilities May Include:

• Assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing and grooming.
• Providing toileting and incontinence care.
• Offering companionship and engaging conversation.
• Helping with light housekeeping duties, including dusting and laundry.
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals.
• Providing reminders for medication schedules.
• Transporting clients to appointments and assisting with shopping and errands.
