- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Able to safely perform duties using related commercial laundry equipment and materials such as washers, dryers, irons, etc.
- Proven customer service skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
- Self-starter, team player, not afraid to jump in and assist where needed.
- Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform all laundry duties, including:
- Washing, drying, and ironing resident laundry and community linens and textiles in provided appliances
- Folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately
- Distributing laundered articles and linens
- Replacing and hanging draperies
- Changing beds
- Mopping laundry room floor and washing walls regularly
- Washing windows around the community as requested
- Ensure resident's laundry is kept separated and is not mixed with other residents.
- Keep the laundry area maintained in a safe, clean, and good working condition.
- Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies.
- Stock laundry and cleaning cart with supplies.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
- Aid residents, family members and/or vendors with questions/concerns and direct them to the appropriate person/place in the community.
- Answer incoming calls and greet walk in traffic in a polite professional manner.
- May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Salary Range The wage range for this position is $12.48/hr - $14.35/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
