Event and Grounds Manager

Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc.

The Grove by the River is seeking a dynamic and experienced Event and Grounds Manager to join our team and deliver exceptional event experiences. Pay: $20.00 per hour plus Commission

Schedule: 40 hours per week with potential for overtime when needed

Availability: Must have open availability for weekend and evening events.

Job Description: As an Event/Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning and oversight of operations at The Grove by The River You will work closely with clients to understand their vision and coordinate with our in-house team to bring that vision to life. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to stay calm under pressure will be crucial to the success of our events.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.

* Create detailed event proposals, including budgets, timelines, and floor plans.

* Supervise the setup, service, and breakdown of events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

* Manage and lead event staff, ensuring everyone is well-trained and motivated.

* Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during events or reservations, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

* Conduct post-event / reservation evaluations to gather feedback and make necessary improvements for future events.

* Ensure events and park reservations are following all health and safety regulations.

* Manage a small Campground and Groundskeeping staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

* High School Diploma or GED.

* Management and Event experience required

* Valid Ohio driver's license and ability to meet driving standards.

* Pass standard background check and Pre employment drug test

* Knowledge of bartending and liquor laws.

* ServSafe Manager Certification. (May be obtained after employment.)
