Position: Event and Marketing Coordinator
Location: Appleton, WI
Position Type: Full time - salaried
Annual Salary: $35,000 - $40,000

The Bubolz Nature Preserve is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Event and Marketing Coordinator. This position will be an integral part of a team responsible for aspects of facility events/rentals, marketing, and fundraising.
Organization Overview
Established in 1971 and encompassing over 700 acres of unique property, the Bubolz Nature Preserve is dedicated to developing a sound environmental ethic in persons of all ages through education, recreation and conservation, while promoting a strong sense of overall wellness and appreciation of nature.
Key Responsibilities
- Create rental lease agreements and accompanying documents, input client information, send invoices, and receive payments; monitor a timely return of signed rental agreements and payment.
- Partner with the Events Team and serve as the main point of contact during facility rentals with thorough knowledge of all necessary details for vendors and guests.
- Assist in the design of robust social media campaigns to highlight event rentals, education programs, and fundraisers.
- Demonstrate eagerness to create new fundraising initiatives and events and collaborate with the team for success.
- Regularly collaborate with and brainstorm marketing improvement processes with the Community Engagement Manager.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and actively discover opportunities to create memorable experiences for each guest of the preserve.
- Create and foster a positive work atmosphere and supportive culture with all team members.
Qualifications
- 2 - 3 years' experience in events/development/marketing
- Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience in marketing, creating social media content, and maintaining a website
- Ability to multi-task in a high energy, fast paced environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Task oriented and self-motivated
- Experience working in a not-for-profit environment
- A passion for the outdoors and the ability to effectively communicate the preserve's mission
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
