Job Summary:
Develop, plan, manage and analyze Career Services events aimed at enhancing career readiness and professional development for OSU students. This role is essential for fostering relationships between students, employers, alumni, and faculty, supporting Career Services' mission to prepare students for successful careers. The coordinator will develop, recommend, and manage the events budgets, ensuring prudency and stewardship. Lead special projects and assist with other Career Services tasks as requested. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation.
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend work, especially as major events draw near. Attendance typically required for evening and weekend events.

Education & Experience

Required Qualifications:
High School/GED
Three years related work experience in planning, production, and management of events or equivalent of demonstrated project management, time management, and organizational skills within a business/office setting.
Post-secondary education may substitute for experience
Fiscal and budget management knowledge and experience, including the ability to prepare, manage, and monitor event budgets. Must possess computer skills - primarily Microsoft Office, database systems, and ability to learn new software. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, lead others to a common goal, and build positive relationships with vendors, peers, and partners.
Some physical activity required. Must be able to lift 40 lbs on occasion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Five years of experience planning meetings and events.
