Legends Event Center will draw events from throughout Texas expanding into the southwest region. This facility will encompass numerous amenities including 8 Basketball courts that convert to 16 volleyball courts, meeting & hospitality areas, a full arcade, and e-gaming center. We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:The Event Coordinator is a key position responsible for assisting the Director of Sports and the Events Manager and Director of Business Development in creating and executing new events, meetings and parties. The Event Coordinator is responsible for relationships with clients, as well as, contacts within the market in order to meet or exceed revenue goals. In addition, you will execute all needs of the event operations and guest services team, professionally represent the LEC at all events and community functions and act as a team player with all departments.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:Create, plan, and execute and evaluate new and existing events, meetings and partiesQualify sales opportunities through inquiries and prospecting to maximize revenue potentialCoordinate the organization and communication for the facility's special events, meetings and partiesManage ongoing facility schedule for special events, meetings and partiesServe as MOD for special events, meetings and tournamentsAssist with supervision, training, and management of event and guest services team membersTrack and report weekly events, meetings, parties attendanceSuccessfully manage and execute events in a fast-paced environmentAchieve sales goals by keeping abreast of budgeted revenue goals and assist in developing plans and actions to generate businessProvide support to the managers, as well as, the administrative team with phone support, creating correspondences, and providing backup supportCreate and maintain reports, as needed, to assist with the sales effortAll additional duties assigned by the Events Manager and Director of Business DevelopmentMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAt least 1 year of experience in an event or sports-related fieldDegree in sports management preferredMust have experience in facility operations and event/tournament managementExperience coaching/teaching both youth and adult sportsExcellent customer service skills and experience dealing with event personnelExcellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and creative publishing tools relevant to the applicationMust have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skillsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to work a flexible work schedule including weekends, nights, and holidaysWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist highMay be required to sit or stand for extended periods of timeWill be required to operate a computerFacility has intermittent noiseMust be able to work in an environment with varying temperatures
