What will I be doing?
As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for executing written sales agreements for moderately-sized and moderately-complex events, typically involving up to 300 cumulative room nights. You will act as the primary liaison between clients and the hotel, coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless event execution. Additionally, you will focus on maximizing revenues, controlling expenses, and ensuring client satisfaction to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Your essential functions will include:
* Organizing, planning, and prioritizing duties by developing strategic plans and goals.
* Communicating effectively with internal and external clients via phone, email, written documents, or in person.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships to meet and exceed expectations.
* Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes.
* Resolving conflicts and negotiating effectively while handling complaints and disputes.
* Selling and influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
* Making decisions and solving problems by analyzing and evaluating issues to determine the best solutions.
* Ensuring high-quality service by communicating and guiding others to understand guest needs, providing direction, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
* Participating in customer site inspections and assisting with the sales process as necessary.
* Performing other duties as needed based on business demands.

What are we looking for?
* Minimum Years of Experience: one (1) year Hospitality related experience at manager level.
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
* Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc)
* Relevant degree, in business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution (CMP, CPCE)
