As our Event Sales Associate, you'll be the enthusiastic face of The Ground in the community. You'll actively promote our unique offerings by distributing marketing materials to local businesses and customers, sparking interest and excitement about our events. By connecting with people, you'll bring our events and brand to life, forging meaningful relationships that strengthen our presence in the area. Responsibilities:
- Promote our events by actively distributing marketing materials-flyers, brochures, posters-to local businesses, community centers, and popular spots around town, raising awareness of our in-house offerings. Work with the marketing team to reach a digital audience, posting on community boards and communicating digital ad needs.
- Manage and oversee the back-end setup for all Ground-owned events, ensuring seamless platform logistics and accurate tracking.
- Coordinate with sales team to gather all event details, write an outline for marketing to approve and create digital content.
- Engage with the community by attending local events, festivals, and networking gatherings to build genuine connections with residents and business owners, enhancing our local presence.
- Prospecting and client outreach by reaching out to local businesses to understand their needs and create opportunities.
- Maintain client relationships by following up with interested customers, answering questions, and providing exceptional service to ensure they feel valued and their needs are met.
- Assist sales and planning team with administrative support and coordination of events.
- Interact with our online community through social media platforms by responding to comments and messages, initiating conversations, and fostering relationships that build a strong, engaged following.
- Share community insights by communicating feedback and ideas gathered from local interactions to align our offerings with community interests.
- Participate in planning meetings by contributing creative ideas for events, promotions, and marketing strategies that resonate with our target audience.
- Introduce innovative ideas by keeping up with local trends, attending community events, and exploring new ways to engage with our audience.
- Share insights with the team by presenting fresh concepts and community feedback during meetings to inspire continuous improvement and creativity.
- Support the marketing and sales teams by organizing and tagging photos in our shared database.
Requirements Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality Management, with at least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or communications.
- Efficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft programs.
- Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals.
- Proficient in using CRM and systems to track interactions and follow-ups, ensuring personalized and seamless communication.
- Proactive in seeking out opportunities by attending local events, joining community groups, and engaging with businesses to promote The Ground.
- Experience in distributing marketing materials, coordinating campaigns, and utilizing grassroots strategies to increase brand awareness.
- Experience in understanding platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others. Knowledgeable about social media trends, algorithms, and best practices to maximize engagement and reach.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. You understand that the event world doesn't always stick to a 9-to-5 Monday through Friday schedule. Most likely needing a Tuesday through Saturday schedule during the busy season.
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for delivering marketing materials and participating in off-site events. Be comfortable navigating the local area to maximize outreach efforts.
- Eager to collaborate with a diverse team to bring events to life, communicating effectively and supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Able to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities with ease.
- Attention to detail in planning and execution, ensuring that every aspect of marketing and event coordination is handled precisely. You catch the small things that make a big difference.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and community members. Able to craft messages that are clear, engaging, and tailored to the audience.
