Position: Evidence AssistantOffice Location: Sacramento, CAStarting Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour, ENTRY-LEVEL POSITIONWeekly Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, in-office 8:00am to 4:30pm Employee Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance offered, and 401(k) retirement plan with 4% Company Match offeredDigiStream Investigations, a fast-growing national private investigations firm, seeks a talented addition to our fast-paced Evidence Division with our Central Valley office! Job Summary: The Evidence Assistant will edit written reports submitted by the investigative staff relating to potentially fraudulent disability, liability or workers' compensation claims on behalf of insurance companies, government entities, defense attorneys and third-party administrators (TPA's). They will deliver reports, along with surveillance DVDs and invoices, to the client in a timely manner. The Evidence Assistant will work in tandem with the Video Evidence Processor to complete these deliverables for the client, under supervision of the Evidence Manager. The Evidence Assistant will intake Customer referrals and ensure integral Case information is captured in the company database such as Subject vitals, Case goals, and requested services. The Evidence Assistant manages, processes and handles investigative evidence generated by the office including but not limited to surveillance video, archived social media content, and reports. The Evidence Assistant will maintain the workflow of evidence through the office, enter data, and update sensitive information daily. The Evidence Assistant will also take on additional administrative tasks from other departments as needed with approval from the Evidence Manager.Responsibilities: Assists the Video Evidence Processor with daily tasks including but not limited to: - Review reports for spelling, formatting, grammar to ensure they meet evidentiary standards- Analyze Customer referrals for key Case details and missing information- Communicate missing information with client facing personnel- Enter details of Customer referrals into company database- Update Case information in company database as needed- Coordinate and finalize invoices and disseminate final products to clients- Handle and secure evidence- Prepare and submit evidence for courtroom proceedings- Answer phones, direct calls and take messages- Other duties as may be assigned from time to timeRequirements: - Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Psychology, History, Criminal Justice, or other writing intensive major, or a bachelor's degree in film, Multi-media, or other media intensive major required- Must be able to type 50+ words per minute- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents- Exceptional written, and oral communication skills- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information- Ability to remain objective when handling sensitive material- Work in a team environment with inside and outside staff
