Job Summary: As a EWP Cutter, you will primarily be responsible for creating planned cuts using a chainsaw, ensuring the minimization of wasted materials. Pay for this Role: $20 per hour - $25 per hour depending on experience. Responsibilities & Duties
  • Cut l-Joist and LVL to specific lengths out of 60' material using a chainsaw.
  • Determine cuts from a generated layout created by the truss designer.
  • Operate cutting equipment to cut and shape materials.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order, performing basic troubleshooting and reporting any maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Minimize waste and keep the yard clean.
  • Unload stock and special order trucks as required.
  • Cut and load customer pick up orders as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Ability to analyze technical problems, determine root causes and develop remediation strategies for permanent solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Follow precise written and verbal instructions.
  • Good math skills.
  • Able to operate a chainsaw.
  • Ability to use and read a tape measure.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Self-motivated to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Be dependable and a team player.
