Reports To: Assigned building AdministratorsSupervises: N/A Terms of Employment: To be determined by the Board of EducationSalary: $14.40-$20.57 an hour based on years of verified experiencePrimary Job Goal: To reinforce concepts and beliefs that has been developed with children and to provide additional practice with building desirable skills and habits. Performance Duties & Responsibilities: - To perform under the general supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Conduct small group or individual classroom activities based on the lesson plans developed by the
teacher. - Assist with supervision of students.
- Assist with student assessments, grading work and tests, and collecting data on student progress.
- Assist with routine record keeping.
- Assist with the preparation of materials for instruction (including the copying/duplicating ofmaterials, construction of displays/bulletin boards, learning center, and manipulatives).
- Locate, operate and return needed equipment.
- Assist in ordering and inventory of classroom equipment and materials.
- Assist with classroom housekeeping.
- Assist with school wide supervision.
- Maintain Paraprofessional Certificate and complete required professional learning hours.
- Assist students with toileting/hygiene when needed.
- Maintain reasonable discipline and refer problems to supervising teacher when necessary.
- Any other duties assigned by the teacher and/or school administrators.
Other Functions: Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit may be met. Working Environment: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
