POSITION DETAILS
Medgar Evers College (MEC), a nationally recognized leader in urban-serving education, is one of twenty-five colleges within the dynamic City University New York (CUNY) System. Named for the late civil rights leader, Medgar Wiley Evers (1925-1963), the College's mission is to develop and maintain high quality, professional, career-oriented undergraduate degree programs in the context of liberal education. Located in Central Brooklyn, MEC was established in 1970 with a mandate to meet the educational and social needs of the Central Brooklyn community. The College is committed to a student-centered education and advancing knowledge through scholarly research.
The Executive Advisor to the President for Strategic Initiatives will serve as a key advisor to the President of Medgar Evers College playing a critical role in driving university-wide strategic initiatives and ensuring operational efficiency. This role will focus on executing high-priority projects, aligning departmental goals with the university's long-term vision and assessing institutional processes for continuous improvement.
S/He will develop, implement and oversee complex internal and external projects within the purview of the President to ensure effective administration. The Executive Advisor will work across all levels of the institution, providing leadership and coordination to ensure that the President's agenda is advanced effectively and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS
This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience. The successful candidate must possess a graduate degree, preferably an MBA; excellent communication skills, proven ability to cultivate fruitful relationships, experience working with executives, and experience conducting research.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$150,000 - Salary commensurate with education and experience.
