Position Overview:The Executive Assistant in the KIPP DC headquarters office is responsible for providing KIPP DC's executive leadership with the support needed to successfully run a growing, high-impact organization. This individual must be someone who takes initiative and is willing to take on any task. By managing critical administrative functions, the Executive Assistant will create invaluable time and space for leaders to focus on organizational priorities that will improve outcomes for students. This role provides direct support to the Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Community Engagement & Growth Officer. This is an exempt role and reports to the Director of Executive Operations & Strategic Priorities. Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Executive Team to expand KIPP DC's impact by connecting the dots between teams and projects, anticipating needs, and creatively and proactively tackling challenges
- Streamline the Executive Team's time by managing all scheduling for the Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Community Engagement & Growth Officer; ensure that adequate meeting preparation is completed and that related correspondence occurs in a timely manner; maintain the schedule throughout each day
- Provide day-to-day support, such as coordinating all work travel for the Executive Team, maintaining organization of the executive office, processing expenses, and coordinating meals as needed
- Manage logistics and record-keeping for quarterly meetings of the KIPP DC Board of Trustees; provide as-needed support for the Chairperson of the KIPP DC Board
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and effectively communicate with members of the KIPP DC staff and Board to advance organizational priorities; keep team members connected and involved
- Provide event planning support for 'new staff welcome' lunches, leadership team retreats and off-sites, headquarters celebrations, and more as needed
- Draft and edit correspondence, presentations, and reports for both the CEO/ President as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supporting C-suite executives in a fast-paced educational environment including management of calendars, travel, and emails (preferred)
- Mastery of Google Suite and all core applications (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Proficient in Asana for project management (required)
- Experience in navigating and utilizing expense reporting tools to ensure accurate and timely expense submissions for C- suite executives (required)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel and transport goods to various locations (required)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Team player with a positive and collaborative attitude, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders quickly
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, anticipate needs, and proactively organize tasks for maximum efficiency.
- A keen eye for identifying potential challenges and proactively developing solutions to ensure smooth operations

Compensation and Benefits:KIPP DC offers an extremely competitive compensation and benefits package:
- The anticipated starting salary for this position is $50,312-$57,765. At KIPP DC we strive for clarity, equity, and to be highly competitive. When determining salaries we look at benchmarks in the education and non-profit sector.
- KIPP DC offers a robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurances; various voluntary benefits; and employer paid benefits such as short term disability, long term disability, life insurance, and a membership to One Medical.
- KIPP DC also offers a 403(b) retirement account with a 3% employer contribution and a 3% match with vesting after three years.
- Currently, individuals in this role have up to 15 paid time off days, up to 10 paid sick days, and 12 paid holidays. This is subject to change and your exact schedule will be shared in your offer letter.
- As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families, we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for in-person support which requires this position to be fully on-site. This role is currently required to be on-site or in schools during regular work hours.
