Job Title: Executive Assistant

Role Type: Contractor (40 hours / week) possibly converting to full time as the team grows
Compensation: $25-$40/hr (depending on experience and scope)
Company Description: We are an early-stage fabless semiconductor company designing cutting-edge wireless microchips for phased arrays. Founded by UC Berkeley PhDs, our unique technology promises significant reductions in power consumption and cost across multiple markets from 5G to satellite communication (SatCom) to radar (e.g. automotive radar / ADAS). We have raised seed funding to make our first prototypes and are excited to change the world with your help. You will be joining a three person team that is growing to seven over the next few months. This role is for a contractor, starting at 40 hours per week, with the potential to convert to full time once the team is fully staffed.
Responsibilities: As a small startup, were looking for an Executive Assistant (EA) open to part-time work and interested in growing with the company for the potential of a full-time role later down the line. We are seeking an EA with at least two years of administrative experience to keep the CEO focused and moving forward. This role is perfect for a quick learner who dives into learning a new tool or software and is always open to sharing ideas when it comes to building efficiency and order. The strongest candidates will have a drive to grow in this role and with the company. Specific responsibilities below.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform an array of administrative tasks (e.g., manage CEOs correspondence / calendars, book meetings/travel, plan events, etc.) as needed
- Operational Support: Support with ongoing company operations while improving efficiency and responsiveness. Help identify new operational weaknesses with CEO and team
- HR Assistance: Support recruiting and retention activities. Help onboard new hires and offboard outgoing employees. Maintain office space and supplies
- Financial Support: Expense report, invoice processing, payroll coordination, and additional financial housekeeping
- Legal and Compliance Support: Contract management, tracking of relevant NDAs and IP filings
- Liaise with external partners, companies, and guests on behalf of Oso Semiconductor for scheduling of engagements, appointments, and any special requests
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of administrative experience working on core administrative tasks (e.g., travel management, expense reports, calendar management, facilities coordination, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with ability to think strategically and prioritize often competing tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with modern productivity tools like Microsoft Office, Google applications, Zoom, Slack, Calendly, and use other software as appropriate to the position.

- Organized, self-starter, fast-mover, problem solver. Ability to seamlessly lead initiatives from pre-planning to execution and proactively identify ways to support the growth, vision, and success of Oso Semiconductor!
- Exhibit the highest standards of confidentiality, with an advanced understanding of internal policies and procedures. Excellent judgment and discretion to support the team's projects
- Familiarity with tech start ups, preferably deep tech / hardware in the electronics industry
