Primary Function: This position provides executive administrative support to the CEO, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external issues pertaining to business and personal matters.
Experience and Competencies:
- Ten years administrative assistant experience supporting C-level executives.
- Superior computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Excellent writing, spelling, proofreading and editing skills.
- Flexible, with strong organizational skills.
- Sound judgment and ability to work independently to identify priorities, handle multiple issues simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Professional and courteous demeanor and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Job Specific Competencies:
Executive Support
- Provides complete administrative support to the CEO by: scheduling meetings and managing busy calendar; keeping the CEO informed about internal and external commitments and responsibilities; anticipating and preparing needed information and materials in advance of meetings; maintaining contact lists; planning domestic and international travel.
- Places, answers and responds to phone calls, communicates messages and information.
- Prints, prioritizes and responds to numerous emails.
- Prioritizes conflicting needs and daily workload; handles concerns proactively in a timely manner; and follows through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressure.
- Provides advanced level of editing and proofreading for the CEO, including meeting remarks, staff emails, etc. Composes and prepares correspondence for the CEOs signature.
- Supports the CEOs external activities with events and various organizations.
