This role is critical in facilitating the efficiency and effectiveness of our legal operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses a strong administrative background, and has a basic understanding of legal terminology and corporate legal processes. A commitment to confidentiality and the ability to manage complex tasks with professionalism are paramount.Essential Job Functions:
  • Manage the Internal General Counsel's calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Act as a liaison between the Internal General Counsel and internal departments, external partners, and clients.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents related to legal matters.
  • File and organize legal documents and ensure all legal files are maintained in the company's document management system.
  • Assist in the preparation of board meetings, including the drafting of agendas, collecting and distributing materials, and taking minutes.
  • Manage, track, and report on the status of legal cases and projects.
  • Handle confidential information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist with legal research and compiling reports as requested.
  • Oversee the management of legal department expenses and budget tracking.
  • Coordinate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth operations within the legal department.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral/written communication (grammar and spelling), organizational, problem solving and basic math skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners, and clients.
  • Professional and proactive work ethic.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of administrative experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of law and legal procedures
