Our dedicated and highly skilled staff and our professional advisory council have made BCNY a leader in youth programming across the field and we invite you join our team as we partner with boys and young men as they journey through their childhoods and our clubhouses.Job Summary The Executive Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission by managing communications, project management, and the effective operation of the Executive Director's office.We are a COVID-19 proactive organization that makes every effort to create and maintain an environment that is safe for our members and staff. ResponsibilitiesScheduling and Coordination
- Schedule and prioritize the Executive Director's meetings, appointments, and events
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, including technology setup, and preparation of necessary materials
Stakeholder Relations
- Act as primary contact for inquiries from Trustees and key stakeholders
- Collaborate with Development team to keep Trustees informed about meetings, programs, and significant announcements
- Coordinate logistics for Trustee meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups
Project Management and Business Operations
- Provide administrative support for strategic initiatives led by the Executive Director
- Develop key materials for board meetings
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies to improve organizational efficiency
- Support the creation and maintenance of operational policies and procedures
Strategic Support
- Conduct research on relevant topics and trends to support BCNY's mission and strategic goals, present insights to aid in decision-making processes
- When the calendar allows, represent the Executive Director at webinars, trainings, and talks, gathering valuable information and contacts for the organization
- Engage with external thought leaders and stakeholders to enhance organizational strategies and programming
Additional duties as assignedQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in administration, nonprofit management, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in an administrative or similar role within nonprofit or youth development organizations
- Familiarity with nonprofit governance and best practices
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion when handling sensitive information and communications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
