Job Type Full-time Description EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - ACADEMY UNIVERSITY HILL In the role of Executive Director at Academy University Hill (AUH), you will be responsible for managing all operations in a manner that is reflective of the goals and expectations of the owners. This includes overseeing operations in a manner that 1) is financially responsible and in unison with the annual budget, 2) manages and develops staff in conformance with being an employer of choice in the Boulder area, 3) provides residents with a superior quality, enjoyable and safe living community and 4) is operationally compliant with all generally accepted senior living community standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on management of all departments in the attainment of operational goals, efficiency standards, resident satisfaction, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide the Managing Partner with an appropriate level of communication and reporting as to AUH's operational performance and issues of a time-sensitive, critical nature
  • Ensure the satisfaction of community residents with respect to services provided and living conditions, periodically surveying resident satisfaction
  • Communicate and interact with residents, and if appropriate, their families, on both a formal and casual frequency, providing pertinent information regarding life within the community
  • Engage in marketing AUH to prospective new residents, and attain desired community occupancy levels
  • Work with the Managing Partner to develop a strategic vision for AUH, an annual operating plan, and budget
  • Develop and communicate corresponding budgets and operational goals to all operating departments, and monitor achievement thereof, seeking required approvals if significant deviations are anticipated or result
  • Recruit, manage, develop, and respect all employees in accordance with AUH's policies and standards
  • Ensure that supervisors conduct periodic employee performance reviews, culminating with a formal annual review for each employee and that all required employee performance records are properly maintained
  • Oversee the efficient and effective operation of all health services offerings provided to residents, including Assisted Living and Academy Homecare services, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Oversee the appropriate operation and maintenance of the AUH's physical plant, structures and grounds
  • Protect residents' rights, records, and privacy as required by federal, state and local regulations
Qualifications
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Exemplary record of demonstrating unwavering honesty and integrity in the workplace
  • Empathy toward the elderly and to geriatric issues and challenges
  • High level proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Education and Experience
  • College master's and/or doctorate degree in a related field
  • Significant management work experience in a service-oriented business
  • Previous management experience within a senior living community, a plus
Salary Description $130,000 - $160,000
