About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Data Engineering to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines, architectures, and analytics infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the data engineering function, ensuring it aligns with the organization's strategic objectives in advanced analytics, machine learning, and operational insights. This role involves managing a team of data engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the use of healthcare data to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiencies. Key responsibilities include leadership and strategy, data infrastructure and architecture, team development, data governance, and compliance, as well as innovation and continuous improvement in data engineering practices.Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years' of experience in data engineering, including a minimum of 5 years' in a leadership role within the healthcare industry. The role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare technology landscape, digital transformation, and experience in clinical informatics or with healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will be proficient in data analysis, visualization, and insight translation, and have expertise in process optimization, governance design, and change management. Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards, ETL tools, cloud platforms, and data governance and security tools is essential. The Executive Director must also possess strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, and be adept at driving continuous improvement initiatives to keep the organization at the forefront of healthcare data engineering innovations.
