Base pay range

$175,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr

A small but vital Jewish nonprofit organization with a critical and unique halachic mission seeks an inspiring, creative, and dynamic Executive Director to provide professional leadership and oversight to their mission-driven team. In addition to ensuring administrative operations and staff are effectively managed, you will play a critical role with the financial stability and growth of the organization and its assets. As the primary fundraiser, you will oversee stewardship, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors and grants. You will collaborate with and ensure ongoing development of a robust Board, work closely with government officials, and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressively increasing responsibility managing a complex organization, including Jewish, not-for-profit experience.
  • Proven track record in fundraising with strong and diverse development experience including applying for and managing grants, individual gifts, solicitation, and donor stewardship.
  • Expertise with organizational budgets and financial documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be a hands-on team builder with demonstrated success motivating and developing staff and leaders.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse set of government officials, social service professionals, community organizations, grounds personnel, and religious leaders.
  • Experience presenting at Board of Director meetings and collaborating with its committees with regard to budget, vision, strategies, and goals.
  • Visionary with a “big picture“ perspective.
  • Energetic, forward, thinking, and creative.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Jewish customs, traditions, and values.
  • Familiarity with cemeteries, funeral operations, and/or Jewish burials is highly desired, but not required.
