About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead and oversee the operations of our inpatient geriatric psychiatric program. This role is critical in driving the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and clinical excellence of the inpatient facility, ensuring optimal care for our geriatric patient population. The ideal candidate brings extensive leadership experience in managing inpatient psychiatric facilities and excels at fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the strategic vision for the inpatient geriatric psychiatric program in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Act as a key decision-maker for program initiatives, resource allocation, and operational priorities.
  • Oversee all aspects of the program's inpatient facility, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nursing staff, therapists, and administrative personnel, to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards, driving a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with financial goals.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Promote compassionate, patient-focused care tailored to the unique needs of the geriatric population.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients and families, ensuring their voices are integrated into care decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with referral sources, community organizations, and regulatory agencies.
  • Represent the program in public forums, advocating for geriatric mental health initiatives and expanding program visibility.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Preferred licensure: LCSW
  • MUST HAVE 4+ years of leadership experience in inpatient psychiatric care, with a minimum of 2 years in geriatric psychiatry.
  • Deep knowledge of inpatient facility operations, including compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrated success in managing budgets, quality improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Expertise with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and data-driven management.
  • Experience in risk management and performance improvement processes.

Additional Information

The expected base pay for this role will be between $110,000 to $130,000 annually at the commencement of employment. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Psychplus Health-sponsored benefits.
