About the Institute for Nonprofit Practice
Founded in Boston in 2007 by Barry Dym, Ph.D., the Institute for Nonprofit Practice (INP) was created to equip nonprofit executives and middle managers with the skills needed to strengthen their organizations. In its first decade, INP graduated 1,200+ students, over half of whom are people of color.
The Institute for Nonprofit Practice pursues its mission to transform communities by equipping diverse classes of nonprofit leaders with the skills, networks, confidence, and credibility they need to boldly advance their careers and bea force for change in their organizations and communities. The Institute accomplishes its mission through two distinct full-year certificate programs and an ever-growing set of additional learning experiences for executives, managers, and high-potential emerging leaders in the nonprofit sector.

The Institute for Nonprofit Practice is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader with deep experience in the New York nonprofit ecosystem to be the local face of the organization and to ensure the model is delivered with impact and excellence across the city. The Executive Director role is a full-time position based in New York City.
Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President & Chief Growth Officer and working closely with the President and CEO and a growing leadership team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in building a sustainable, effective organization, including developing and executing an expansion strategy to serve hundreds of students per year and building a vibrant alumni network of some of the brightest established and emerging leaders in the nonprofit sector.

Leadership and ManagementThe Executive Director - New York will be a leader among leaders with a strong local reputation in the nonprofit sector and a significant track record of success and experience in fundraising, leadership, and management. The ideal candidate will be a creative, collaborative, and action-oriented leader with a compelling presence and exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

Competitive benefit package and salary commensurate with experience: salary range $130,000 - $160,000.
