Scion Executive Search , an award-winning full service staffing firm, is leading the search for an Executive Directorfor Children of Bellevue, an amazing pediatric health and wellness nonprofit organization in Manhattan, New York. Reporting to the Board of Directors and operating on a hybrid schedule, this full-time position offers an opportunity to truly make an impact in the lives of children and families! The Executive Director (ED) will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the organization. The ED will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and key stakeholders to advance the organization's mission, ensuring the effective delivery of services and the sustainability of programs. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in nonprofit management, relationship building, and community engagement. ABOUT CHILDREN OF BELLEVUE Born from the passion of a few volunteers in 1949, Children of Bellevue has grown into a vital part of Bellevue Hospital, the oldest public hospital in the U.S. Each year, Children of Bellevue supports over 50,000 children, offering programs from creative child development programs to mental health services and pediatric care. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Provide leadership to the staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Cultivate relationships with Board of Directors, institutional funder representatives, donors, vendors, and beneficiaries.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization to the community, media, and other external stakeholders.
  • Work with the Board of Directors to identify new funding opportunities and diversify revenue streams.
  • Ensure the successful implementation and evaluation of all programs and services.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and community partners to identify and address the needs of patients and their families.
  • Innovate and develop new programs that align with the organization's mission and respond to emerging needs.
  • Oversee the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization by managing resources efficiently and responsibly.
  • Work with the Board of Directors to develop long-term financial strategies.
  • Strengthen and expand the organization's partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Increase the visibility and awareness of the organization's programs and impact through strategic communications and public relations efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of senior leadership experience in nonprofit management, with a proven track record in fundraising, program development, and financial management.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Experience in fundraising and donor relations nice to have, with a track record of securing significant philanthropic support.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and financial reporting in an nonprofit environment.
  • Knowledge of issues related to pediatric health care, child development, and family support services is highly desirable.
COMPENSATION In additional to working for an organization with a phenomenal mission and positive team-oriented work environment, this opportunity offers a salary range of $140,000 to $160,000 along with paid medical, dental, and vision, 18 vacation days, 10 sick days, and 13 holidays!
