Job Description McPherson Berry & Associates is seeking an Executive Director for Community Connections. This dynamic non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting Georgia's children in foster care by providing comprehensive services and transformative partnerships with families and the larger community. The ideal candidate is a visionary and strategic leader that will be responsible for the overall management, operation, and growth of the organization. This role requires a passionate advocate for community engagement with a proven track record of successful leadership, fundraising, and partnership building. The ED will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers to ensure the organization's mission and goals are effectively implemented.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Provides visionary and strategic leadership to advance the mission and goals of the company.
- Annually develops and implements strategic plans that align with the organization's vision, goals, and overall budget.
- Inspires and motivates staff, volunteers, and community partners to achieve the organization's objectives.
- Leads fundraising efforts to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government sources.
- Build and cultivate relationships with key donors, sponsors, community leaders, stakeholders, and partners to facilitate the success of an organization's financial future.
- Maintain a climate that attracts and retains a talented and diverse staff
- Oversees grant writing and reporting processes to ensure compliance and successful funding outcomes.
- Oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services that meet community needs, delivered effectively, efficiently, and with high-quality standards.
- Fosters innovation and creativity in program development to address emerging community issues.
- Develops and manages the organization's budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors and finance team to ensure financial stability and sustainability.
- Oversees operational functions, including human resources, technology, and facilities management.
- Represents the organizations in public forums, media, and community events.
- Advocates for policies and initiatives that support the organization's mission and community needs.
- Works closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement organizational policies and strategies.
- Prepare agendas, reports, and materials for board meetings while providing regular updates on organizational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications - Previous management or board of director experience
- Successful fundraising and development experience
- Experience in large-scale program development
Requirements
Education and Experience: •Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public administration, social work, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. •Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in a nonprofit organization or related field. •Proven experience in fundraising, resource development, and financial management.
