About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its library system, ensuring the continued delivery of essential services to the local communities. The successful candidate will be a pragmatic and experienced library leader, capable of turning visionary ideas into action and leading initiatives that meet the needs of the residents. Responsibilities include engaging with a large staff to implement a strategic plan, overseeing multiple capital projects, and launching new services. The Executive Director will also be the key communication channel between the staff, the Administrative Board of Trustees, local government officials, and support organizations.Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company must have a master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program, with a minimum of 5 years' public library experience, including at least three years in a supervisory or administrative role. Strong communication skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships, and a proven track record of prioritizing and managing large-scale projects are essential. The role requires a self-motivated individual who can work with the Board of Trustees to develop and implement the library system's goals, policies, and procedures, and ensure the effective operation and administration of the system.
