Executive Director - Confidential : Job Details

The client is seeking an Executive Director for Allegheny County Clean Air Now (ACCAN) to lead air quality advocacy efforts in the Neville Island Area. The Executive Director will work remotely with in-person fieldwork at least twice a week, collaborating closely with the Board of Directors. The main goals of ACCAN are to inform residents about the impacts of industrial air pollution, advocate for those affected, and help residents communicate with regulators. The ideal candidate will have experience in program/project management, executive leadership, advocacy, and communications, with a preference for experience in campaign organizing related to industrial, environmental, and public health issues.The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing ACCAN's advocacy efforts, working to raise awareness about air quality issues and represent the interests of residents affected by pollution. They will collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic initiatives to achieve the organization's mission. The role requires a candidate with strong leadership skills, experience in program management, and a background in advocacy and communications.
