Job DescriptionGifts of Love is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is committed to helping individuals within the Greater Hartford area that experience short-term financial crises. Established in 1989, Gifts of Love has grown to two locations in Avon and Hartford, and offers a variety of programs to its clients to help enable them to return to self-sufficiency.The Position:Gifts of Love is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Executive Director. We are looking for someone with a passion for helping others and a record of successful, innovative fundraising and non-profit leadership to make an enduring impact to our community. General responsibilities include:

• Raise and maintain critical funds to support our mission and our work
• Cultivate, enhance and manage donor and corporate sponsor relationships
• Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors and key stakeholders to fulfill the organization's mission
• Oversee and implement plans and resources to maintain effective operations
• Maintain fiscal integrity that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position

About You:

• A minimum of five years of non-profit management and fundraising experience
• Excellent donor relations skills and understanding of the funding community. Demonstrated success of generating new revenue streams that have improved financial results of organizations.
• You have experience and demonstrated skill in successful partnership with a Board of Directors and are able to provide transparent, high integrity leadership
• Skilled in non-profit operations including fiscal health, capacity building, and long-term sustainability. Well versed in keeping track of budgeting, planning, revenue development, and staff management.
• Experience in building a culture of collaboration and engagement among staff and volunteers
