About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Development and Alumni Engagement to lead and manage its fundraising and alumni programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategy, execution, and oversight of campaigns and operations to drive philanthropic support. This includes serving as the Director of the company's Centennial Campaign, the next comprehensive philanthropic effort. The role involves building and maintaining the organizational infrastructure necessary for successful campaigns, managing donor relationships, and engaging with alumni to support the institution's goals. The Executive Director will also work closely with senior leadership, including the President, Trustees, and various boards, to foster a culture of philanthropy and expand support for the company.Candidates for the Executive Director position should possess a range of core competencies, including leadership, motivational skills, and the ability to promote diversity and cultural awareness. The role requires a strategic thinker who can identify problems, analyze data, and make recommendations, as well as someone who is adept at managing resources and developing collaborative relationships. Effective communication, the ability to work with diverse student populations, and a willingness to take risks to achieve the company's goals are also essential. The Executive Director will be expected to train university leadership, deans, faculty, and staff in philanthropic practices and to supervise the fundraising staff, acting as a mentor and coach to develop a strong philanthropic culture within the institution.
