About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Finance and Administration to provide strategic financial, accounting, and administrative leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including but not limited to, managing statewide scholarships, endowment operations, grants accounting, real estate transactions, and leading the annual budgeting process. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the accurate tracking and timely expenditure of funds, as well as compliance with all relevant regulations. The Executive Director will also be involved in contract management, financial reporting, and will play a key role in the annual audit and 990 preparation.Candidates for the Executive Director position must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a CPA preferred, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in fiscal management, auditing, or investment management, particularly in fund accounting or not-for-profit organizations. The role demands excellent communication, planning, problem-solving, organization, project management, and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at exercising independent judgment, and discretion, and promoting an inclusive environment. Responsibilities also include staff supervision, policy management, and providing operational training to campus financial staff. The Executive Director will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer of the Foundation and will be expected to uphold the professional standards and regulatory requirements of the organization.
