About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Finance to oversee and manage the Department's fiscal needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Finance Office, which includes procurement, accounts payable and receivable, collections, and budget and accounting staff. This role involves skillfully managing the agency's budget, preparing financial plans, and ensuring compliance with city financial policies and regulations. The Executive Director will also provide analytical support, recommend process changes, and lead the development of improved budget tracking and monitoring tools.Applicants must meet specific educational and experience requirements, with a preference for those with at least 5 years of related professional experience and 2 years of substantial management experience. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of budget cycles, policies, and procedures, as well as experience with city financial management systems. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential, along with strong analytical, initiative, and people skills. The role demands a detail-oriented individual with the ability to work with employees at all levels and a familiarity with city procurement processes. The Executive Director will also be expected to participate in special projects and cross-functional teams to address agency issues.
