About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Research Fiscal Affairs to join their team. The Executive Director will also advise on financial matters with a significant impact, such as cost-sharing requests and the strategic use of faculty startup packages. Additionally, the role includes mentoring individuals involved in research administration and serving as a point of contact for HR issues within the research division.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for an advanced degree, and at least 10 years of related experience in university accounting. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership abilities, a strong understanding of the research enterprise, and knowledge of federal and non-federal agency roles in a major research university. Skills in long-term financial planning, problem-solving, and the ability to deal with sensitive information are essential. The Executive Director will also be involved in representing the organization at various meetings and supervising business staff. The position requires a high level of commitment, the ability to work with external deadlines, and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on financial trends.
